چکیده مقاله:

We present a high-resolution ۲D shear-wave velocity model (up to ۶۰ km depth) for the IranianMakran subduction zone, achieved through a joint inversion of P-receiver functions and apparent Swavevelocity. Our study unveils the accretionary wedge and upper subducting slab, pinpointing a ۱۵۰km northward-extending low-velocity shear zone atop the descending oceanic slab. The method'sexceptional resolving power maps underplated sediments beneath the Jaz Murian basin. Additionally,a northward-dipping, high-velocity anomaly is identified up to ۲۵۰ km north of the shoreline at depthsof ۳۰-۶۰ km, attributed to the subducting oceanic lithosphere. Integrating P-receiver functions andapparent S-wave velocity enhances understanding of structural complexities in the Makranaccretionary wedge, providing insights into internal mechanisms
