چکیده مقاله:

This paper presents a comprehensive study on the application and performance evaluation offriction dampers for vibration control in steel structures. Friction dampers are passive devices thatutilize controlled friction to dissipate energy and reduce structural vibrations caused by dynamic loadssuch as wind, earthquakes, and human-induced activities. This paper explores various aspects offriction damper design, installation, and effectiveness within steel structures. The findings shed lighton the potential benefits, limitations, and design considerations of using friction dampers forenhancing the performance and resilience of steel structures.
