چکیده مقاله:

In this paper, standard procedure for quantitative assessment of the seismic resilience ofengineering systems have been examined in case of a real ۱۶۰-bed hospital building constructed inMalard by Ministry of Health and Medical Science. A set of ۲۲ ordinary ground motion recordings hasbeen selected based on the best spectral consistensy with the design response spectrum. By using theoutcomes of more than ۸۰۰ nonlinear time-history analysis performed on a ۳D model of the structuralsystem, IDA curves as well as fragility curves have been developed. Then, the resilience index as afunction of time and hazard levels has been evaluated to assess the safety margin of building againstseismic hazard in term of resilience-based criteria. Based on the results, focusing on the immediateoccupancy, seismic resilience index for hazard level of the return period of ۴۷۵ years shows tangiblereduction up to the ۲۳%. This is important to illustrate the fact that, traditional force-based designmethodology in Standard No. ۲۸۰۰ cannot directly control the satisfaction of IO performance leveldespite its restrict provisions. The latter conclusion is intensified in case of OP performance level, while the performance of non-structural elements plays a crucial role. Seismic resilience index , in thiscase, for hazard level of ۴۷۵ years, unfortunately, drops to ۵۰%.
