چکیده مقاله:

This paper presents an overview of the utilization of shape memory alloys (SMAs) to enhance thebehavior of concrete columns. SMAs are a special type of metallic alloy that have the ability torecover their original shape after being deformed through the application of heat. The objective of thispaper is to examine the potential of SMAs in enhancing the performance of concrete columns, specifically in terms of strength, durability, and resistance to seismic activity. Through a thoroughanalysis of relevant studies, this review discusses the various techniques involving SMAs, evaluatestheir effectiveness, and addresses the associated challenges. The findings of this review providevaluable insights into the advantages and limitations of employing SMAs to improve the behavior ofconcrete columns, serving as a valuable resource for researchers and engineers engaged in the designand construction of resilient structures.
