چکیده مقاله:

To fortify Turkey's highway infrastructure and promote an eco-conscious approach, theintroduction of a hemp-based road marking paint formulation stands as a significant solution in lieuof conventional options. Through meticulous research and formulation refinement, an innovativeroad marking paint was engineered utilizing alkyd resins synthesized with hemp oil, subsequentlysubjected to rigorous testing adhering to the State Highways of the Republic of Turkey (TCK).Traditionally, various drying agents (such as lead octoate, calcium octoate, cobalt octoate, etc.) areemployed to bolster the drying performance of conventional road marking paints. However, theseagents pose significant health hazards due to their chemical composition. Conversely, the newlydeveloped hemp-based paint expedites drying without necessitating additional drying agents, owingto its inherent natural properties. This attribute not only furnishes an environmentally sustainablesolution but also augments road safety by minimizing traffic disruptions. Moreover, the durabilityof hemp-based road marking paint is notably robust. During wear tests conducted under standardconditions using siliceous sand, signs of wear were only evident after the application of ۱۲۵ liters ofsand, surpassing the required threshold of ۱۰۰ liters as per industry standards. This exceptionaldurability promises to substantially curtail maintenance expenses by prolonging the lifespan of roadmarkings.In standard road marking paints, chemical agents are used to prevent the viscosity increase that mayoccur as a result of the storage test. However, with the use of alkyd resins synthesized from hempoil in road marking paints, decreases in viscosity were found. In this way, the need for viscosityregulating agents used in the current recipe has been eliminated. In addition to harmful chemicalreduction, economic improvements have also been achieved.Adhering to TCK standards, it boasts a high coverage rate of ۹۶.۷۴%, ensuring clear visibility ofroad markings. With a whiteness value of ۶۹.۷۱ % and bleeding resistance of ۰.۱۳%, it maintainsbrightness over time, bolstering driver confidence and overall road safety. Evidently, this paintpromises substantial contributions to traffic safety owing to its superior performance and reliability.
