چکیده مقاله:

The present study compared functional properties of Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) based onhigh molecular weight hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer (SEBS)/polypropylene (PP) with twotypes conventional TPVs containing ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM)/ polypropylene(PP) and polyolefin elastomer (POE)/PP. All of the TPVs were produced via an industrial scale twin -screw extruder.TPV based on POE/PP has the highest tensile strength (۱۰.۴ MPa). The tensilestrength of the EPDM/PP and POE/PP was ۷.۴ and ۶.۴ MPa, respectively. Naturally, the POE/PP hasthe lowest value of elongation at break (۱۹۸ %). TPV based on EPDM/PP has the lowest of melt flowindex (MFI) (۱۹۰ °C, ۱۰ kg, ۰.۸ g/۱۰min). Heat aging was studies (۸۵ °C for ۱۶۸ h) on all TPVsreviled that tensile strength due to aging TPV base on the SEBS/PP had the highest amount (۱۰%),the TPV based on the EPDM/PP (۴%) and the TPV based on the POE/PP (- ۰.۶ %). Aging study, however, was not affected on hardness of the all three types of the prepared TPV. The compressionset (۷۰ °C and ۲۲ h) of the TPV based on the EPDM/PP had the lowest value (۳۳%). The compressionset of the TPV based on the PP/POE and the TPV based on the SEBS/PP was the value of ۵۲% and۳۶%, respectively. The TPV based on the POE/PP has the highest hardness (۸۹ shore A). The othertwo types have almost the same hardness (۷۵ shore A).
