Synthesis, characterization and in vitro bioactivity investigation of threecomponentbioactive glass ۵۸S

Bioactive glass is a suitable replacement for host tissue due to its ability to stimulate bone growth,biocompatibility and strong connection for the reconstruction of defects and bone defects. The aimof this research is synthesis, characterization and in vitro bioactivity investigation of three-componentbioactive glass ۵۸S with the chemical composition ۸۰SiO۲-۱۶CaO-۴P۲O۵ (mol.%). According to theresults, Characteristic peaks of hydroxyapatite by X-ray diffraction (XRD) were observed after ۱۴days of immersion in the simulated body solution (SBF). Also according to Electron Microscope(SEM) images, micro-hydroxyapatite crystals formed on the surface of mentioned ۵۸S bioactive glassafter ۱۴ days Immersion in simulated body solution and spherical shape of micro-hydroxyapatitecrystals was confirmed .
