چکیده مقاله:

Tire wear is generally an undesirable characteristic in rubber components, and one of the keychallenges facing the tire industry today is predicting tire wear before production with minimal error. This requires the use of a abradability coefficient for the tire tread compound, which is a nonlinearfunction of frictional energy dissipation. This function can be used directly to compare rubbercompounds or in finite element simulations of tire wear. However, developing an abradabilityfunction for rubber requires a device like LAT ۱۰۰ that can measure abrasion rate and frictionalenergy dissipation under different speed, load, and slip angle conditions. Using available Akronabrader machine, which measures only the abrasion rate of rubber, this project aims to calculate thefrictional energy of a rubber wheel under steady-state rolling condition and create a nonlinearabradability function for rubber by combining the experimental values of abrasion rate and numericalvalues of frictional energy dissipation.
