چکیده مقاله:
Smart polymers, particularly those that respond to pH stimuli, are increasingly used in variousindustries, including pharmaceuticals, medical, agriculture, and oil. Segmental copolymers, consisting of hydrophobic and hydrophilic segments, can transform into micellar structures when incontact with water. Micelles are sensitive to various stimuli, such as temperature, pH, solvent type, structure, and length of polymer parts. The monomer [(۲-dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate](DMAEMA) is one of the most important polymers that can show different behavior in response tochanging pH values. This research investigates the production of pH-responsive copolymers basedon DMAEMA monomer using the RAFT polymerization method. The study found that PHEMA-b-PDMAEMA copolymer is less sensitive to pH changes compared to PMMA-b-PDMAEMAcopolymer, as confirmed by NMR spectroscopy tests and turbidity measurement. However, theresponse to pH stimuli in PMMA-b-PDMAEMA copolymer is significantly higher than that of thePHEMA-b-PDMAEMA copolymer, and the length of the DMAEMA polymer fragment affects thebehavior of surfactants at different pHs.
