چکیده مقاله:

Skin ulcers can be classified into two categories: acute and chronic. While acute wounds heal througha natural wound-healing process, chronic wounds usually do not heal and cause inflammation, pain, discomfort, serious complications, and economic burdens due to treatment costs. It should be notedthat hydrogels based on gelatin and ionic liquids have attracted much attention as bioactive matricesdue to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, adhesion, antibacterial properties, and various groupsfor chemical modification. In this work, the aim is to design a self-healing, adhesive, and antibacterialdouble network hydrogel based on gelatin and ionic liquid for the healing of infectious wounds. Toprepare this hydrogel, gelatin was first reacted with oxidized alginate (OSA), and a reversible Schiffbasecroslinks were formed to develop self-healing and adhesive properties. To develop antibacterialproperties, methacrylated gelatin (GelMa) was polymerized with ionic liquid (IL), and GOPILhydrogel was obtained.
