Investigating the effect of aminoglycoside on the hydrophilicity ofpolydopamine coatings

Polydopamine (PDA) is a versatile, reactive and deformable substance that can be synthesized by variousmethods, the most common of which is solution oxidation. PDA coatings are durable, biocompatible, andexhibit outstanding chemical properties. In this study, the effect of aminoglycoside on dopaminepolymerization including film structure and hydrophilicity was investigated. FTIR and water contact angleanalysis confirmed that increasing the concentration of aminoglycoside increases the hydrophilicity of theobtained films.
