Synthesis and Characterization of Catalyst-free polyolefin elastomervitrimer

In this study, POE vitrimers by reaction between maleic anhydride-linked polyolefin elastomer andbutanediol as dynamic cross-linking agents were produced through the reaction melt blending in aninternal mixer. The chemical structures of the POE vitrimers were characterized by FTIR. After crosslinking,the characteristic peak of ester group at around ۱۷۳۷ 𝐶𝑚−۱appeared for the POE vitrimers,indicating the successful completion of the grafting of maleic anhydride and the monoesterificationreaction.
