چکیده مقاله:

In this study, the chemical surface treatment of waste tire powder using acidic agents such as sulfuricacid and nitric acid was investigated. The resulting surface treated powders were blended with polarnitrile rubber in the absence of fillers and reinforcers and cured at ۱۶۰ C. Three compositions of ۱۰,۲۰, and ۴۰ phr of treated and non-treated powders were selected to compare the effect of of chemicaltreatment. The results showed that the blends containing surface modified powder exhibited betterabrasion, and hardness properties. The swelling resistance decreased with the addition of waste tirepowder, however, the swell ratio decreased at NBR/۴۰ phr waste tire powder (treated or untreated).
