چکیده مقاله:

Interfacial polymerization is an ideal method for the synthesis of microcapsules that have the potential applicationto create self-healing properties in various materials including coatings. In this article, core/shell microcapsules witha liquid core containing Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and a composite shell of polyurea and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) were synthesized via interfacial polymerization in an oil-in-water emulsion. The oil phase was formed froma mixture of IPDI and poly methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (PMDI), and then core/shell microcapsules wereobtained due to the different reactivity rates of IPDI and PMDI with water, PVA and different amines. The use ofdifferent amines in this work caused changes in the morphology, and the formation mechanism and morphology ofthe capsules were investigated using optical microscopy and Raman spectroscopy techniques.
