The Effect of B۴C Concentration on the Shielding Property ofPolydimethylsiloxane/Novalac

In this study, neutron shielding properties of polymer composite of Polydimethylsiloxane/Novalacwas evaluated by varing concentration of B۴C. The results of neutron radiography test showed thatthe shielding properties of polymer composite improved by increasing the concentration of B۴C. Theconcentration of B۴C has a critical valu and it is ۱۵ wt%. The samples with concentration of ۱۵, ۲۰and ۳۰ % has highest and almost same shielding property.
