چکیده مقاله:

In this work, citric acid-based quantum dots (CA-QDs) as a novel and safe crosslinker agent was applied indifferent feeding ratio (۵-۱۵ wt%) to synthesize carboxymethyl cellulose/polyvinyl alcohol (CMC/PVA)nanofibers (NFs) for the first time. Colistin (CL) as an antibacterial agent was also loaded (۲ w/w%)during the synthesizing process of CMC/PVA electrospun NFs to trigger antimicrobial properties. Themorphological, hydrophilic, and mechanical properties of the prepared NFs were fully investigated withdifferent techniques. The electrospun NFs with crosslinking ratios of ۱۰ wt% CA-QDs revealedappropriate mechanical properties. According to cell culture data, the prepared NFs demonstrated goodcytocompatibility against HFF-۱ cells (over ۸۰% cell viability). Remarkably, CL-loaded NFs showeddesired antibacterial efficacy against S. aurous, E. coli, K. pneumoniae, and P. aeruginosa with ۱.۰-۱.۴,۱.۳-۱.۴, ۰.۸-۱.۰, and ۱.۳-۱.۵ cm inhibition zones, respectively. These outcomes suggested that thefabricated NFs could be useful as wound healing scaffolds.
