چکیده مقاله:
Skin injuries have always been considered as one of the most common health problems. Therefore,many researches have been interested in to find an efficient method for wound healing. Sincehydrogels have suitable characteristics, they are widely used for this purpose. In this study, alginateand polyvinyl alcohol were selected as hydrogel matrix based on their high efficiencies in the woundhealing. Also, to induced antibacterial and antioxidant properties simultaneously, zinc oxidenanoparticles and green tea extract were incorporated to hydrogels followed by evaluating theirphysicochemical properties. Our results indicated that the nanocomposite hydrogels haveappropriate swelling degree, degradation rate and hydrophilicity to be used in wounds with highsecretions. Other properties of the dressings such as antibacterial peroperties, antioxidant activity,mechanical strength, and cytocompatibility will be investigated.
