چکیده مقاله:
Back pain is the second most common disease in the world and one of the main causes of disabilityworldwide. In general, back pain is caused by the disintegration of the intervertebral disc, which hasa fibrous-cartilaginous tissue and plays a key role in the protection and flexibility of the spine. A newsurgical method for the treatment of high intradiscal pressure (IDP) is the use of interspinous spacerdevice (ISD). Based on this, the present study intends to investigate the role of the materials of theISD in the biomechanical behavior of the patient. In order to model the segment in this study, CTscans of two different people were used, one healthy without any complications and the other withdisc degeneration. In the model of the operated patient, the ISD is simulated with two differentmaterials. According to the obtained results, it can be seen that the patient has a lower disc pressure,which will ultimately cause more facet joint force (FJF) and will lead to dislocation. The results showthat the device made with PEEK material has a better performance in IDP and FJF.
