چکیده مقاله:

In many of their applications, pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) are required to debond cleanlyfrom substrates, which is frequently achieved using external crosslinkers. In this research, however,a self-crosslinking monomer (SCM), namely methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, was used duringthe synthesis of a latex PSA based only on butyl acrylate to guarantee such clean debonding. Theeffect of crosslinking on linear viscoelastic, non-linear large-strain properties, and adhesionperformance of the PSAs containing ۰.۲۵ or ۰.۵ wt. % SCM was systematically investigated usinggel content measurements, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA), uniaxial tension, looptack, and static shear experiments. The studies revealed that the addition of SCM affects the linearviscoelastic properties mainly at high temperatures. However, the addition of SCM essentially affectsthe adhesion properties by controlling the non-linear large-strain properties and therefore themaximum fibrils extension prior to debonding
