چکیده مقاله:

In this study, biocompatibility of linoleic acid conjugated PEG (linoleic acid-PEG-linoleic acid)was investigated in details. PEG (linoleic acid)۲ owing to its amphiphilic properties undergoes selfassemblyin aqueous media and form polymeric micelles. Biocompatibility results showed thatfabricated polymeric micelles exhibited no substantial toxicity toward Artemia Salina (۱۰۰%viability) and the safety of PEG (linoleic acid)۲ is thus confirmed. Additionally, at highconcentration of PEG (linoleic acid) nanoparticles hemotoxic effects was less than ۴% which isnegligible and its hemocompatibility is thus underlined. All mice were survived, after oraladministration of PEG (linoleic acid)۲ within one week and the utility of linoleic acid conjugatedPEG as a nontoxic drug carrier is thus proved. In addition, ۱۰۰ % cell viability was observed forHEK ۲۹۳ cells treated with linoleic acid conjugated PEG. These findings confirm the usefulness oflinoleic acid conjugated PEG as a propitious and nontoxic agent for biomedical application.
