Preparation of antibacterial polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan lactate film loadedwith silver nanoparticles/eucalyptus extract

In this study, polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan lactate antibacterial hydrogel films were prepared. The filmsincorporated silver nanoparticles, resulting from a green synthesis using eucalyptus extracted as areduction agent. The model drug of this project, curcumin, which has antibacterial properties, wasloaded in the target film. The structural features were confirmed using FT-IR, XRD, and surfacemorphology using SEM, and the size of nanoparticles using TEM. Conducting antibacterial andcytotoxicity tests is proof of this property of the films. To check the effectiveness of the films, theloading of curcumin, and swelling at pH=۴.۵ and pH=۷.۴ (blood plasma) was investigated. Also, theinvestigation of the release in acidic and neutral pH indicates that the desired film has been successfulin targeted release. Observations show that the prepared biodegradable and antibacterial hydrogel canbe used as a wound dressing and immediate dressing
