چکیده مقاله:

This research aimed to develop paraffin Pickering emulsion stabilized by silica nanoparticles, focusing on the stability of the emulsion as the primary variable. The study revealed that the presenceof nanoparticles, in addition to emulsifiers, significantly impacts the stability of the emulsion. Varioustests, including zeta potential, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), centrifuge, and stability tests, wereconducted to assess the efficiency of the produced wax. The results demonstrated that the inclusionof nanoparticles notably enhances the performance of the paraffin wax compared to emulsifierstabilizedwax alone. The DLS analysis indicated a smaller average droplet size of ۵۱۵.۷۸ nm for thenanoparticle-containing sample, along with a zeta potential of -۹۵.۴ mV, highlighting improved longtermsustainability. Furthermore, a ۹۰-day stability test and high-speed centrifuge test exhibitedenhanced stability for the nanoparticle-containing sample compared to the sample withoutnanoparticles. Optical microscopy results also revealed a more uniform distribution in the samplewith nanoparticles. This study underscores the potential of silica nanoparticles in improving thestability and performance of paraffin emulsions, offering valuable insights for industrial applications.
