PA۶/PA۱۲ Blend: Improvement of mechanical and viscoelastic properties byusing a chain-extender

This study investigates the behavior of PA۶/PA۱۲ blends with and without the Joncryl® ADR chainextender. Materials were prepared using an internal mixer and characterized through rheological andmechanical testing. Rheological analysis showed that adding Joncryl significantly increasesmolecular entanglement and phase immiscibility, evidenced by changes in the Cole-Cole plots.Tensile testing revealed that Joncryl enhances the tensile properties of the blends, increasing strain atbreak from ۲۳.۲۴% for pure PA۶ to ۴۳.۱۹% and ۳۷.۹۵% for blends with and without Joncryl,respectively. The tensile strength and elongation at break were also improved, demonstratingJoncryl's role in enhancing the viscoelastic and mechanical properties of PA۶/PA۱۲ blends
