Improvement of Mechanical and Rheological Properties of Degraded PBAT

PBAT is a biodegradable hydrophobic polymer with specific properties. Its properties is similar toelastomers, including high elongation at break, high thermal resistance, high flexibility, and highimpact performance. However, under high humidity conditions, it can be degraded via different paths,resulting into low quality products, due to significant reduction of the molecular weight. Chainextenders, such as Joncryl ۴۴۶۸-C, may increase the molecular weight, resulting into highermechanical and rheological properties.
