چکیده مقاله Investigation of the precipitation volume resulting from the development of the Ashuba tropical storm over the Arabian Sea

Tropical storms in the Arabian Sea are phenomena that annually induce atmospheric anomalies in the region. In the present study, aimed at investigating the precipitation volume resulting from the formation and development of the Ashuba tropical storm, which occurred between June 7 and 12, 2015, data from the gridded National Centers for Environmental Prediction/National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCEP/NCAR), ERAS model data, and estimated precipitation values from the GPM sensor were utilized. The results indicated that the primary factor in the formation and change of track of this storm was the anomaly of over 1.5 degrees in the sea surface temperature, which augmented the heat transfer capacity into the circulating system of the region. With the rise in upper-level currents and an increase in relative humidity, flood-inducing precipitations occurred in most western areas of India, with an average exceeding 110 millimeters.
