چکیده مقاله:
In today’s perspective, there is a different approach to waste management, and that is the recovery and recycling of various types of waste, including construction waste. The construction and building sector is one of the major contributors to global waste production that ends up in landfills. Sending construction waste to landfills results in a wide range of environmental consequences, such as land and habitat degradation, soil pollution, groundwater contamination, and the dispersion of pollutants throughoutdifferent environmental areas. In this context, increasing awareness about the need for diverting construction waste from landfills for recovery and recycling is essential. This approach helps maximize the value of resources present in these wastes and reduces the demand for raw virgin materials and the associated environmental impacts of their extraction and production. Addressing this challenge is crucial for enhancing environmental performance in managing construction waste across diverse communities. This article provides comprehensive information on the recovery and recycling of construction waste in various fields, such as recovery and recycling methods for different components found in construction waste, separation techniques for these wastes, and other related topics.
