چکیده مقاله:

The study aimed to remove sulfur compounds from a petroleum model using bentonite clay modified with MoO۳, ZnO, and CuO compounds as a catalyst. The prepared catalyst was analyzed and identified using XRD, FTIR, FESEM, and UV-Vis techniques. The study also investigated the effects of various parameters such as temperature, time, amount of oxidant, catalyst, and concentration. This was done using the mini tab experiment design method and experimentally in the process of oxidative desulfurization to determine the optimal conditions. The results showed that the hybrid combination of catalysts achieved the highest catalytic activity. The catalyst was also tested for stability through a leaching test and was found to be stable. Additionally, the catalyst is reusable and recoverable five times.
