چکیده مقاله:

Azo dyes are widely used in various industries, such as textile, paper, printing, etc. Since azo dyes have a toxic effect on living organisms and some of them enter the environment through wastewater, it is necessary to remove these organic compounds from the wastewater [۱,۲]. Sol-gel derived alumina with a surface area of ۱۶۸ m۲.g-۱, a pore volume of ۰.۷۰ cm۳.g-۱ and a pore diameter of ۱۶.۶ nm was used to adsorb azo dye in the aqueous environment. The aluminum oxide obtained from sol-gel was prepared from the precursor aluminum ۲-butoxide. APTES was used for aminopropyl functionalization of gamma alumina. UV-Vis spectroscopy showed that the sol-gel alumina tends to adsorb Acid Red ۸۸. ۱ mL of Acid Red ۸۸ at the ۲۰ ppm concentration was immersed in ۱۰ ml of functionalized sol-gel gamma alumina solution at the ۲۰ ppm concentration and after ۱ hour the following graph was obtained [۳] (Fig. ۱).
