چکیده مقاله:

In recent years, there has been an increasing focus on the environment within the economic realm due to the significant impact of a clean environment on quality of life. Polymer products are essential today, encompassing many items in our surroundings, including medical tools [۱]. Among the widely used polyamides is polyamide ۶, commonly known as nylon ۶, derived from caprolactam, a cyclic amide of aminocaproic acid. Catalysts, especially modified zeolites, play a pivotal role in this production process. This research involves the hierarchical modification of Beta zeolite using metal [۲].Beta zeolite was hierarchically synthesized using citric acid, sodium hydroxide, and CTAB as templates due to the preservation of the zeolite structure in an alkaline environment [۱, ۳]. The obtained catalysts were characterized using FESEM, FT-IR, XRD, and EDS techniques. These catalytic systems were applied in the caprolactam synthesis as a precursor of nylon ۶ from cyclohexanone. The reaction progress was monitored using GC analysis. Various parameters such as temperature, catalyst amount, solvent type, reaction time, and catalyst type were explored. The resulting catalyst demonstrated durability, maintaining its catalytic efficacy even after multiple usage cycles.
