Zeolites in Nuclear Technology

zeolite a crystalline hydrated aluminosilicate material an inorganic ion exchanger has been utilised to separate important radioisotopes such as ۱۳۷Cs, ۹۰Sr and other transuranium elements selectively. This phenomenon is due to charge excess inherent in its structure. Although zeolite, perlite, dolomite...have useful applications in medicine, Industry, Agriculture, but their benefit in recent years has become more important in Nuclear Technology. A brief explanation of Nuclear Industry and a comparison between organic, synthesized inorganic and natural inorganic ion exchangers is presented.
