Efficacy of herbal medicine in the treatment of coronavirus disease

Medicinal plants and their bioactive molecules are integral components of nature and have supported the health of human societies for millennia. The most common reason cited for supplements use was to strengthen immune system and to prevent infection of COVID- ۱۹. The evaluation of natural medicinal resources should include not only the species-specific perspective, but also ecological communities and their metabolites as the agents providing therapeutic benefits. Natural herbal products are being used for the development of modern drugs and dietary supplements to food and beverages. Systematic profiling of phytocompounds derived from traditional medicinal plants is necessary for discovering new drugs that may help manage or cure various diseases. In This study searched by terms "medicinal plants,", "SARS-CoV-۲ ," and "COVID-۱۹" published year was set to ۲۰۲۲ and ۲۰۲۳ to ensure their novelty.
