چکیده مقاله:
Iranian studies are one of the old directions in Georgian. Georgian Iranists showed interest and translated from Persian into Georgian not only Persian poetry, but also Persian historical sources. Georgia has always shown great interest in Persian historical sources and the history of Iran. Persian historical sources have been intensively translated into Georgian for almost a century. Historical writings of Juvein, Haji Mehdi Quli Qajar, Iskander Monshi, Mohammad Taher and other Iranian historians have been known to Georgian scientists for a long time, which contain interesting and important information not only about Iran but also about Georgia. The translation of these and other historical sources into the Georgian language gives Georgian scholars the opportunity to work better both on individual periods of Iranian history and on Georgian-Iranian relations. In addition to this, it is worth noting the fact that in the libraries of Georgia, here are many Persian documents, which were issued by the Shahs of Iran to the Georgian kings and nobles. These are both monolingual (Persian) and bilingual (Georgian-Persian) historical documents that contain important information about the relations between Georgia and Iran. An important part of these documents has already been translated into Georgian by Makar Khubua, Vladimir Futuridze, Magali Todua, Nugzar Dundua and is known to Georgian researchers. In addition to the translation of Persian-language documentary and narrative sources into Georgian, the creation of scientific works on separate periods of Iran's history is intensively underway in Georgia. In Georgia, the history of Iran is being researched from the Achaemenid period to the present day. Separate periods of Georgian-Iranian relations are also interesting for Georgian researchers. Accordingly, scientific papers are created in this direction as well.
