چکیده مقاله:

Dispersive soil is a type of problematic soil that is washed away with the flow of water and this phenomenon can cause problems to earthen dams and structures. One of the classic methods of dealing with this phenomenon is adding lime with an approximate ۴% dosage. The current paper investigates the results of Oedometer tests on mixtures of dispersive clay soil with Incinerated Sewage Sludge Ash (ISSA) and hydrated lime (۱:۴ mixing ratio). The aim of this testing campaign was to evaluate the consolidation and creep behavior of mixtures of dispersive clay soil and ISSA and hydrated lime. The mixtures were prepared with the different mixing ratios of lime and ISSA and Lime at different curing periods. The results indicated that treated samples had smaller consolidation and creep settlements compared to the untreated samples. This indicates numerous potential applications of the mixture for soil improvement in geotechnical engineering.
