چکیده مقاله:
This proposed research aims to investigate the application of digital twin technology in enhancing smart municipal governance for the improvement of transportation infrastructure. The contemporary challenges faced by urban areas, such as traffic congestion, outdated infrastructure, and inefficient transportation systems, call for innovative solutions that can revolutionize urban governance. The integration of digital twin technology offers a promising solution in this regard. The research will focus on analysing the potential benefits of utilizing digital twin technology in the context of municipal governance, particularly in managing and optimizing transportation infrastructure. Through simulation, monitoring, and real-time data analysis, the digital twin can create a virtual representation of the transportation systems, enabling predictive maintenance, scenario testing, and efficient resource utilization. Furthermore, this study seeks to explore the impact of this technology on decision-making processes, policy formulation, and citizen participation. Understanding how digital twin technology can integrate with existing governance structures and improve decision-making will be a significant aspect of this research. The methodology will involve a combination of qualitative and quantitative analyses, including case studies, stakeholder interviews, and data-driven assessments and prototyping transportation infrastructure with QGIS and BIM. The findings of this research could potentially provide valuable insights for policymakers, urban planners, and technologists, leading to the development of more responsive, sustainable, and resilient urban transportation systems.
