Understanding the Concept of Smart Cities and Devising Transportation Solutions for Intelligent Urban Areas

The concept of a smart city refers to the structure, system, and identity of settlements that are enhanced by remote communication technology. In these biological complexes, most of the actual communication and shared activities transition into virtual realms. Consequently, new geometric, perceptual, and conceptual forms are discovered in both shapes and spaces. Urban planners and designers aim to address urban issues and phenomena by creating smarter cities and designing intelligent residential neighborhoods, road networks, and smart public spaces. One of the most crucial aspects of developed and intelligent cities is the correlation between the city's intelligence and the utilization of modern systems to alleviate urban transportation issues. After introducing the main goals of the smart city, this research examines advanced transportation systems and aims to provide appropriate solutions by analyzing urban transportation systems. This research is applied, and the information was collected through documentary and library studies. Considering the characteristics of the subject, the materials were analyzed using the explanatory descriptive research method.
