The sol-gel method was used to create a composite material containing random silver nanorods in aCo۰.۰۵Ti۰.۹۵O۲ (CTO) matrix. This study explores the magnetic properties and negative permittivity ofcomposites with varying amounts of Ag nanorods in the Co۰.۰۵Ti۰.۹۵O۲ matrix. X-ray diffraction (XRD) andscanning electron microscopy (SEM) were employed to analyze the structure and morphology of Ag/CTOnanocomposites. The permittivity and permeability characteristics of the samples were also examined. Anincrease in Ag content up to approximately ۳۵% resulted in negative permittivity, leading to an electricallynegative metamaterial. The presence of silver networks exhibited diamagnetic behavior due to Eddy currentsin combination with the magnetic properties of the Co۰.۰۵Ti۰.۹۵O۲ matrix. The permeability of the compositesdecreased consistently as frequency increased. Furthermore, the high frequency permeability spectra showednegative susceptibility in samples with a higher Ag content of ۳۵%.
