This study evaluates the knowledge structure of building information modeling (BIM) in green buildings. Buildings are one of the main contributors to carbon emissions, and implementing BIM in green buildings is seen as an indispensable approach to mitigate environmental and climate change the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in green building projects is crucial for sustainable and high-quality development in the construction sector. BIM technology can accommodate more architectural details than traditional designs, improve information communication between project parties, and reduce resource waste in construction this article provides a technical reference for practitioners and construction enterprises to use BIM-based green building design and construction stages in similar projects, ensuring the construction period and quality this paper first explains the concepts and advantages of BIM technology and green building and separately elaborates on the significance of using both secondly, the study analyzes the development status of BIM technology and green building. Finally, it combines BIM technology in the whole life cycle of green building, analyzing the current situation and advantages and disadvantages of using the combination of green building and BIM in actual engineering as an important tool for the future development of the construction industry.
