چکیده مقاله:

Alex Michaelides is the author of the psychological thriller novel, The Silent Patient (۲۰۱۹), which centers on the story of Alicia Berenson, who is convicted of murdering her husband, and Theo Faber, a psychiatrist who becomes obsessed with her case. This article provides a new viewpoint on Alicia by analyzing her using Young’s Early Maladaptive Schemas (EMSs). The goal is to shed light on Alicia’s impulsive behavior and pessimistic beliefs about herself and her environment. The study uses qualitative analysis and inductive reasoning to explore how Alicia’s anxiety and impulsive behaviors can be attributed to her EMSs.
