چکیده مقاله:
Learning is a process. In every process, factors and variables are interacting. The type and intensityof interaction leads to various changes. It is not possible to examine all the effective factors in thesecond language learning process. The key role of motivational factors in second/foreign languagelearning has been identified for a long time, and it is very important to know the motivationalcharacteristics of language learners in order to adopt appropriate teaching methods and developmore effective teaching resources. The current research was conducted using a library reviewmethod, the purpose of which was to investigate motivational factors in learning a secondlanguage. The results of the research show that the category of motivation and its effect onlanguage learning is one of the important issues in education. Examining and identifying types ofmotivation and motivational factors can be an effective step to improve the quality of languageeducation. For basic and optimal learning of any language, it is necessary to identify the elementsand variables affecting this field. The basis of this research is based on Dornier's theory of selfmotivationsystem.
