چکیده مقاله:
Arsenic, whose oxide is called the death of a mouse and its sulfide is called arsenic in Persian, is a chemical elementthat is identified by the symbol as in the periodic table and has an atomic number of ۳۳. Arsenic is a well-known toxicmetal that can be found in three forms: yellow, black and gray. Arsenic and its compounds are used as pesticides:herbicides, insecticides and various alloys. Arsenic is considered a covalent solid. Arsenic is chemically similar tophosphorus to the extent that it can replace it in biochemical reactions and is therefore toxic. When it is heated, itturns into arsenic oxide, which is white in color and is very dense and extremely toxic. Previously, it was used inrodenticides (mouse death), but due to its high toxicity to humans and other mammals and environmental hazards, itsuse has been completely banned. Arsenic oxide smells like orange or garlic. Arsenic and its compounds can also beconverted to gas by heating. Recent studies have gone towards creating an economical and efficient solution usingiron oxide nanoparticles to treat arsenic in contaminated water. The synthesis of hematite nanoparticles, which weresynthesized and produced using aloe vera plant extract, was used in this study. Aloe vera leaf extract is a medicinalplant that contains various phytochemicals such as flavonoids, tannin, saponin, sterol along with organic acids, polysaccharides and various enzymes. This study showed that aloe vera plant extract can be used for the synthesis ofiron oxide nanoparticles and thereby purify the arsenic in water and sludge.
