چکیده مقاله:

Single photon sources are fundamental building blocks of photonic quantum technology and are ofgreat interest due to their applications in secure quantum communication, quantum internet, linear quantumcomputing, sensors and multi-photon entanglement sources. Boron nitride with two-dimensional hexagonalstructure is one of the most promising materials for many technological applications from optics to electronics.The present study delineates the suitability of carbon modified hexagonal boron nitride (hBNC) as a suitablematerial for the production of single photons has been done. Carbon modified hBN powder was successfullysynthesized through a simple thermal route under NH۳ and N۲ atmosphere. Their characterizations are donewith some methods such as X-ray diffraction spectrometry (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). Finally, todetermine the energy of the emission photons, the photoluminescence (PL) spectrum is performed, which showsthat the prepared sample can be used to emit a single photon with wavelength of ۳۶۱nm.
