چکیده مقاله:
In the edible oil industry, perlite is used as a filtering aid in the filtration process. However, If the perlitefilter aid is unoptimized. It absorbs a significant amount of oil during the filtration process, leading to substantialwaste. In this research, the effect of perlite structure and particle size distribution on oil retention and filtrationperformance in the edible oil industry is investigated. The results show that optimized perlite with porousstructure and optimal particle size distribution can significantly reduce oil retention compared to conventionalperlite. Therefore, this leads to increased efficiency of the filtration process, reduced oil waste and improvedenvironmental sustainability. The optimal perlite was identified through FTIR, XRD, SEM, XRF, LPA, and TGAanalysis.
