Investigating the performance of anti-cancer drugs through ultrasound extraction indifferent laboratory conditions

Naringin is a significant drug in the synthesis of some medicines and is known for its anti-cancerproperties. In this study, Naringin was extracted from banana peels using a combination of water and ethanolsolvent in a ۱:۱ ratio using the solid-liquid method and ultrasound waves. The researchers took variousparameters into account such as temperature, time, ratio of sample to solvent, pH, and ratio of solid to liquid.These parameters were entered into Design-Expert software and the results were analyzed using UV-Visible andHPLC. The pH parameter had the most significant impact on the extraction of dopamine when compared toother parameters such as time, temperature, and solid-to-liquid ratio. The extraction efficiency reduced withthe increase in temperature but increased with the increase in the extraction time and solid-to-liquid ratio. Forthe pH parameter, extraction was more in a very weak acidic condition. After conducting the experiments, thehighest amount of naringin extraction from banana skin was determined to be ۰.۷۸ mg/g using the solventcombination of water and ethanol at (pH=۶, time ۳۵ min, temperature ۳۰ ℃, solid to liquid ratio ۴۵۰ mg/۱۰ ml).The ANOVA analysis resulted in a correlation coefficient of R۲=۰.۹۶۹۳, which indicates that the model accuratelyand appropriately represents the experimental data.
