Magnetic hydrogels in cartilage repair

Cartilage injuries are common in the elderly, causing tissue destruction. Treatment methods includetissue engineering scaffolds such as hydrogels, but magnetic hydrogels provide strength and mimic cartilagetissue. In this paper, polyacrylamide polymer and iron oxide nanoparticles are used to prepare this hydrogel.This hydrogel was synthesized using the grafting method and obtained good mechanical properties andstimulated the growth and repair of cartilage tissue.
