چکیده مقاله:

Stachys byzantine, Lamiaceae family, has many biological properties. In this study, the free, esterified, and bound phenolic acids of Stachys byzantine were analyzed. The results indicated that the main phenolic acidsin free extract were rosmarinic acid, para-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, and salicylic acid. The analysis of esterifiedextract revealed that para-coumaric acid, caffeic acid, gallic acid, ferulic acid, and salicylic acid were the mainphenolic acids. Caffeic acid, salicylic acid, para-coumaric acid, ferulic acid and gallic acid were the main phenolicacids in bound extract. The sum of phenolic acids confirmed that, among the studied extracts, esterified extracthad the highest amount of phenolic acids. So, it can be concluded that Stachys byzantine is a good source ofesterified phenolic acids.
