Synthesis and characterization CdO nano particles of azo-azomethine compound complex based on naphthylamine with Cd

New azo-azomethine dye was prepared by reaction of 1-naphthylamine with salicylaldehyde respectively to form azo compound and then condensation by aniline to form 1-(R-arylazo2-salicylaldene)-anilineazo-azomethine derivatives. The complex of this ligand with Cd (II) metal ion was prepared. The structure of the free ligand and its complex were characterized by using elemental analysis IR spectra and 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra. CdO nanopowders have been obtained by calsination of the compounds and characterized by XRD and SEM.
