چکیده :
This study examines the relationships between honesty-humility, work-family balance, job self-management, and psychological needs, focusing on the moderating role of perceived organizational support within Iran's automotive industry. Data were collected from 540 employees of five companies in Tehran, Karaj, Yazd, Kerman, and Tabriz. The findings indicate that all key variables significantly influence employees' job self-management. Additionally, perceived organizational support acts as a critical moderator, enhancing these relationships.
Honesty-humility positively impacts responsibility and task management, while work-family balance emerges as a vital factor in reducing stress and boosting productivity. Moreover, fulfilling employees’ psychological needs, such as autonomy and competence, significantly increases motivation and job performance.
Data analysis revealed that demographic characteristics, including gender, education level, and work experience, influence employees' experiences of these relationships. Women showed higher sensitivity to work-family balance, whereas employees with higher education levels benefited more from organizational support.
This study provides practical recommendations, such as strengthening organizational support programs, implementing work-family balance policies, and designing educational programs, to help managers in the automotive industry create a better working environment. The findings are also applicable to similar industries.
