Fabrication of polycarbonate/graphene oxide membrane with high porosity andmechanical strength

Graphene oxide (GO) was incorporated in polycarbonate (PC) to improve the structural properties ofthe PC membrane. PC membranes with GO concentrations of ۰.۵, ۰.۷۵, ۱.۰, and ۱.۵ wt% were fabricated usingnon solvent induce phase separation (NIPS) method. The results indicate that the porosity and mechanicalproperties of the membranes are enhanced with the increase of GO concentration up to ۱.۰ wt.%.
