چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted disease which is theaccepted cause of cervical cancer. Hypnosis provides a noninvasive treatment for HPV that is safe even forpregnant women. Several studies have been devoted to testing the efficacy of hypnosis for virally relatedcommon, cutaneous warts. There have also been case studies reporting the successful treatment of HPV. Asa result, we conducted the currant study with the aim of reviewing studies assessing the effectiveness ofhypnotherapy on the treatment of HPV.Methods: This study was a narrative review that was conducted in ۲۰۲۴. Three authors (S.K, M.H andM.M) carried out a comprehensive systematic literature search independently in electronic databasesincluding PubMed / MEDLINE, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google scholar from ۲۰۰۰ to ۲۰۲۴. Inclusioncriteria involved: English articles the full text of which were available. Results: We found a total of ۶۶ articles. By screening the titles and removing duplicates using Endnotesoftware, we reached ۱۴articles. After excluding articles that were hardly related to the objectives, ۴ papersthat were thoroughly related to the study were included and entirely been studied andreviewed.Guducuoglu et al. (۲۰۱۵) study showed that in people who had undergone hypnosis, endocrineand immune system was activated. NK and T cells were the periphery cause destruction in the wart tissueand also led to healing in all tissues. The ۴ presented cases in Ewin’s study (۲۰۱۱) showed successful resultsof hypnoanalysis on clearance of warts. Barabasz et al. (۲۰۱۰) had ۷ patients who clearly showed partialregression and later had traditional removal of remaining tumor, and the result of the study illustrated thatboth hypnosis and medical therapy resulted in a statistically significant. . Goldstein (۲۰۰۵) reported a case ofa female patient who was successfully treated with hypnosis for warts despite her not being highlyhypnotizable. It is noticeable that the nature of the longstanding immunity to HPV after hypnotic cure isunknown. Conclusion: According to this review, Hypnotherapy exhibited obvious advantages in the clearance of HPVwarts in patients. Considering that, the most studies in this context are old and the number of them aren’tconsiderable, larger and higher-quality randomized controlled trials are needed to clarify the roleof hypnotherapy in HPV patients.
