چکیده مقاله:
The power plant generator includes two main parts. ۱- stator & ۲-wound rotor. After assembly of stator, installation of the rotor into the stator is necessitate. The rotor has to pass through the stator inner diameter, align with the stator axial, and lay on pedestal bearings that previously have been assembled and adjusted on both end of wound stator on frame. Rotor installation process in power plant generator (normally with ۶~۵۰۰ MW power) is performed by several special tools that are known as “Rotor Withdrawal tools”, which pull rotor through stator. This process requires manufacturing several kinds of tools, taking long process time, wasting more cost and also existing of rotor & stator damage probability. For this purpose, the “Rotor Installation Tool” has been designed as a safe, quick and superseded tool. This tool is fixed and screwed to rotor coupling and can make possible the installation of rotor without any physical contact with stator. In this research, the superseded procedure with related design of special “Rotor Installation Tool” was modeled and the finite element (FE) analysis of the procedure was conducted to survey the strength analysis of it. Some modifications have performed on the drafted model to find an optimum model in material consumption and strength based on FE analyses.
